Tuckaway is built so there is nothing to worry about.
The Tuckaway iPhone app does not collect or upload personal, child, or usage data to True Line Collective. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no True Line-operated analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers in the app. StoreKit communicates with Apple for purchases and entitlement checks.
The app does not upload personal information, usage or analytics data, or any data about your child to True Line. It uses no True Line-operated analytics or tracking and does not send child, activity, or usage data to us.
A few preferences (your chosen Calm World, Day or Night look, session length, and setup choices) are stored locally on your device using Apple’s standard on-device storage. These preferences never leave your phone and are removed if you delete the app.
The Family world shows photos you choose. Picking happens through Apple’s system photo picker, which runs outside the app, so Tuckaway never gets permission to browse your photo library and never asks for it. The photos you pick are copied to the app’s private on-device storage, shown only on the calm screen, and never uploaded anywhere. Remove any photo in the app’s settings at any time; deleting the app deletes the copies.
The optional Tuckaway Complete purchase uses Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. StoreKit communicates with Apple when a purchase or entitlement is checked. Apple processes the transaction; Tuckaway and True Line never see your payment information.
Tuckaway is operated by a parent or caregiver; the child only ever sees a calm screen that responds to touch. The app does not ask for or collect a child’s name, photo, voice, location, activity, or any other child data.
The Tuckaway website uses PostHog for a deliberately limited set of aggregate events: a page view, the first use of the calm-canvas demo, and in-page navigation selections. Automatic click capture, session recording, surveys, heatmaps, exception capture, experiments, feature flags, persistent analytics identifiers, and person profiles are disabled. We do not record touch coordinates or child data.
If you joined the Tuckaway launch waitlist, True Line Collective stores the email address you provided, the signup source, the IP address used for rate limiting, and the time the record was created. Supabase stores the record. PostHog receives only an aggregate signup event with no raw or email-derived identifier, and Sentry may receive error information. The waitlist was for a one-time launch notification, not a recurring newsletter.
Vercel hosts the website. PostHog provides the limited analytics above. Supabase stores waitlist records, and Sentry provides error monitoring. To ask what waitlist information we have, request a correction or deletion, or ask a privacy question, email support@tuckaway.app.
