Tuckaway is a calm, quiet screen your baby can hold while your phone stays completely locked.

Getting started

  1. Open Tuckaway. The setup walks you through turning on Guided Access (Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access). This is Apple’s built-in lock.
  2. Set a Guided Access passcode and turn on Face ID for it — that becomes your one-second unlock.
  3. To use it: open Tuckaway, triple-click the side button to lock in, hand the phone over. Triple-click + Face ID to come back.

Common questions

Triple-click does nothing.

Guided Access must be turned on first (Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access). The triple-click is the physical side button on your iPhone, not a button in the app.

Why isn’t there an unlock button in the app?

On purpose. If there were a button, a baby could press it. The lock is Apple’s Guided Access, which a child cannot exit.

Does it collect any data?

No. Tuckaway collects nothing, has no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and never connects to the internet.

How does the free trial work?

Free for 7 days from first launch. After that, a single one-time purchase keeps it forever. No subscription.

I paid but it’s locked on a new phone.

Tap “Restore Purchase” on the unlock screen.

The screen seems too quiet.

That is the point. Tuckaway is deliberately low-stimulation: one soft, slow bloom of color per touch, no sound or rewards by default.
