Tuckaway puts a calm, quiet screen in your baby’s hands while Apple’s Guided Access keeps your phone locked.
How you get back
However you lock, you leave with the side or Home button.
- Triple-click the side or Home button.
- Use Face ID or Touch ID, or type your passcode.
- Tap End.
On iOS 18 or earlier, double-click the side or Home button instead, then use Face ID or Touch ID.
Forgot the passcode?
Restart the phone: press and let go of volume up, then volume down, then hold the side button until you see the Apple logo. The lock is gone when it wakes.

Getting started
- Open Tuckaway. The setup walks you through turning on Guided Access (Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access). This is Apple’s built-in lock.
- Set a Guided Access passcode. Turn on Face ID or Touch ID for it if you like, or use the passcode alone.
- Practice once in the app. Then open a world, triple-click the side button to lock, and hand the phone over. Triple-click and prove it’s you to come back.
Common questions
Triple-click does nothing.
Guided Access must be turned on first (Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access). The triple-click is the physical side button on your iPhone, or the Home button on iPhone SE, not a button in the app.
Why isn’t there an unlock button in the app?
On purpose. If there were a button, a baby could press it. The lock is Apple’s Guided Access, which a child cannot exit.
Can my baby buy something or open settings?
No. While the phone is locked, the baby’s screen has no price, no menu and no settings.
Does it collect any data?
Tuckaway has no accounts, ads, or True Line-operated tracking, and it sends no child, activity, or usage data to True Line. StoreKit communicates with Apple for purchases and entitlement checks.
What is free?
Hush, the lock, Day and Night, every session length and Restore Purchases are free, for good. Tuckaway Complete is one optional purchase that adds Family, Pond, Fireflies and future Calm Worlds. Pay once, no subscription. See pricing.
I bought Complete but do not see my worlds on a new phone.
Open Settings in Tuckaway and tap Restore Purchases.
What happens when a timed session ends?
The world settles and stops responding without an alarm or flash. End Guided Access when you are ready. Choose Unlimited if you do not want the world to settle automatically.
Why is it so quiet?
Tuckaway makes no sound, on purpose. It is deliberately low-stimulation: one soft, slow and understandable response per touch, with no sound, buzz or rewards.
